‘Twisted Elegance explores the aesthetics of the Goth and Club Kid subcultures where the make-up and clothing emphasises self-exploration and meant to push societies boundaries by being as creative and unique as possible. There’s a slight inspiration from the traditional clown aesthetic to add a sort of playfulness with the rosy cheeks and exaggerated facial expressions.

We wanted to create a story that takes you on an emotional journey through this puppet- like individual showing emotions behind the exaggerated make-up by forcing a smile, then to this pure anger from ripping apart the polaroids then to this doll-like elegance with enjoying the flowers. We are dramatising the everyday emotions into an editorial story through fashion and make-up.’
